The John Ede Trust, based in Capel a small village on the outskirts of Dorking in Surrey was created by Robert John Ede in 1991. The primary aim of the Trust is give financial assistance to those with learning disabilities, their families and organisations in the local area but also extend this support to the county of Surrey.

- Help towards transport costs to visit or receive care from reputable support agencies
- Some families have benefited with IT, Holiday and tutor support
- Contribution towards holiday costs for children with severe learning difficulties
- Funding for SENCO departments for local Schools
